A little more
about Fatima.

Hi! I’m Fatima, co-founder of The Sahel Project, a grassroots initiative working to create sustainable change across the Sahel region. Our work focuses on empowering women entrepreneurs through sponsorship and skills-based opportunities, providing essential food relief, and addressing period poverty in underserved communities.

I joined the Cugoano Changemakers programme to collaborate with fellow changemakers, learn from diverse perspectives and develop more sustainable, community centred solutions to the challenges we care about. I’m particularly passionate about reimagining charity beyond short-term aid and creating opportunities that empower communities in the long term. Outside of my advocacy work, I am also a legaltech startup founder with an interest in innovation and social impact.
