about Sumayyah.
Sumayyah Barre is a London based community development professional with experience in community engagement and resident-led work. At Tower Hamlets CVS, she supports seven equalities networks and co-led a resident panel through the Cornerstone project, helping bring lived experience into local decision-making. Her work also includes supporting community resilience initiatives across Tower Hamlets. A graduate of Queen Mary University of London, Sumayyah has completed the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies’ Young Muslim Leadership Programme and is passionate about community-led change and ethical leadership. Outside of work, she is a keen runner and reader.
