A little more
about Toreh.

Toreh O’Garro is a visually impaired curator, facilitator and poet from Manchester, England. His work centres around accessibility, interpretation and audience participation. Toreh’s work has pivoted into a focus on creative accessiblity due to his visual impairment (keratoconus). Exploring a subjective approach to audio & image descriptions, through his own developing methodologies, he hopes to increase blind and visually impaired indivuduals' engagement with the arts.

Beyond this, Toreh writes poetry on his mundane experiences as a Autistic & visually impaired, British-Montserratian, alongside questioning the cause and effects to his relationships, intersectional identity and food choices.

His most recent curatorial work, Gangland Illustrated (2026), asked audience members to inquire into the systematic nature, language and detrimental effects of gang culture in UK cities in Aafi Aafi's artworks' narrative of the metaphorical & dystopian ilset known as The Block.
