A little more
about Zara.
Zara is a British Afghan public health and social impact professional with a background in Politics and International Relations and an MSc in Global Public Health and Policy from Queen Mary University of London. Her work and research have focused on health inequalities, displacement, refugee health, gender-based violence and the ways structural inequalities shape people’s access to services and opportunities. Alongside her academic work, Zara has worked across social impact, inclusion and community engagement, supporting initiatives focused on equity, partnerships and positive social change. She wanted to join Cugoano Changemakers to deepen her understanding of social justice and changemaking, learn alongside people from different backgrounds and experiences, and continue developing the skills and confidence to contribute meaningfully to more equitable communities and systems.
